JACKSON, Tenn. — A case of suspected shoplifting lands a man in jail on two separate charges. James Thomas Jr. is accused of taking items off the shelf at Walmart in north Jackson and trying to return them for cash at customer service. Thomas is charged with a count of misdemeanor theft along with a criminal trespassing charge. Due to previous issues at the store, Thomas had been told not to return and that he’d be charged if he did, according to court papers.
