One airlifted, I-40 temporarily closed after crash

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A wreck Tuesday on Interstate 40 resulted in one person being airlifted to a Memphis hospital. The accident occurred on I-40 near Exit 133, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. The interstate was closed for about half an hour so the helicopter could touch down. The injured person was taken to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis.
