MARTIN, Tenn. — A woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly stabbing her ex-fiance after demanding prescription drugs. Kim Adcock, 48, was arrested after police responded to a domestic disturbance at a Lester Lane home, according to a Martin Police Department incident report. When police arrived, Adcock told them her ex-fiance had struck her several times during an argument about her getting her dog. She said she had then picked up a large kitchen knife and stabbed him. Police say her story changed multiple times while they talked to her. Officers then spoke with the stabbing victim who said Adcock had come to the home asking for his prescription medication and then became irate when he wouldn’t give them to her, according to the report. He told police she then picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed him while he sat in his living room chair. The victim had cuts on his arms and neck and was transported to a hospital by ambulance with injuries that were not life-threatening, the report states. Police also spoke with the victim’s daughter, whom he had called during the alleged attack, along with another woman who had called Adcock during the confrontation. Adcock was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault.
