New principal named for Rose Hill Middle School

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A new principal has been announced Wednesday for Rose Hill Middle School. David Wicker Jr. will be the school’s new principal, according to a release from the Jackson-Madison County School System. Wicker was most recently the principal at Kate Bond Elementary School in Shelby County. He also has worked as a teacher in Shelby County. He holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Memphis and a master’s degree in educational supervision and leadership from Christian Brothers University. Wicker has participated in TNCore training and coaching as well as developed a parent support program that resulted in providing students with critical support materials for reading and academic growth and success, according to the release. He replaces Ned Lewis who retired in April after serving as principal since 2012.
