ATWOOD, Tenn. – Another West Tennessee football coaching change took place on Friday morning. West Carroll head coach Josh Fronabarger told the school he was resigning to become Crockett County’s offensive coordinator. “I wasn’t looking to leave. It was an opportunity that presented itself,” Fronabarger said. “The more I talked with coach [Kevin] Ward, the more comfortable I felt about the decision.” Fronabarger spent 12 seasons on the War Eagles’ sidelines. He doesn’t see the change of atmosphere being a problem. “It’s still coaching football, which is what I want to do,” said Fronabarger about not being a head coach anymore. “Talent level is going to be different, but I look forward to that opportunity.” Fronabarger added, “They [Crockett] have some kids that are real athletic, and some good lineman as well. I’m just going to try and go in there and get those guys better — help the program get better.” West Carroll’s football team finished 3-7 last season.
