Hardin County fire damages home

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — Hardin County and the City of Clifton Fire Departments responded to a house fire with children trapped inside. The mother and her two small children were able to jump out of the second-floor window, suffering minor injuries. The fire was contained to one room on the first floor. Most of the family pets were able to be saved, but some birds died from smoke inhalation. It was determined the cause of the fire was from a heat lamp.
