Man in court accused of hitting, strangling woman

JACKSON, Tenn. — Passersby at the Walgreens on North Highland Avenue say they watched Wednesday as Delvecchio Beasley hit a woman inside his silver Chevrolet Impala. After following his car, an affidavit says officers pulled him over on Old Medina Road. The victim told police she was hit in the face and then strangled. Court papers say she had no visible injuries except for blood on her left ankle. Beasley is free on a $5,000 bond.
