JACKSON, Tenn. — Runners in the Hub City hit the road Saturday morning in a unique 5K for a good cause. West Tennessee Healthcare’s Therapy and Learning Center held the 2nd annual Splash and Dash 5K and Fun Run. Runners were hit with anything from water to paint to beach balls throughout the course. The center says the event helps further their cause. “I don’t think people always understand what they face on a daily basis,” director of the Therapy and Learning Center Ron Kwasigroh said. “Anywhere from small children to adults, just what they’re facing, the challenges they’re facing. This event gives us the opportunity to tell that story.” Around 350 people participated in the run. The proceeds of the run go to help fund programs at the Therapy and Learning Center.
