2 men accused of robbery after offering to sell drugs

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Two men appeared Thursday in city court on allegations of robbing two men at a Jackson park. Corinthian Person and Montreal Robinson are accused of robbing the men after Person allegedly offered to sell one of the men marijuana, according to an affidavit. Robinson was developed as a suspect and later identified in a photo lineup, according to police. Court papers say Person told one of the men to meet him, Robinson and an unidentified black man at Bemis Park. When they arrived, one of the men got into Person’s white Jeep Cherokee where a man put a gun to his head while Person got out of the vehicle and took about $380 cash, two cell phones and car keys, the documents state. The victims said Person and the other two men left in Person’s vehicle. Person and Robinson both are charged with aggravated robbery. They are being held in lieu of $500,000 bond each.
