Dyer Co. man charged with TennCare fraud, selling drugs near school

DYER COUNTY, Tenn. — A Dyersburg man is charged with TennCare fraud and accused of selling a controlled substance near a local school. Courtney Lamont Williams, 32, is accused of selling hydrocodone paid for by TennCare benefits within 1,000 feet of Dyersburg High School, according to a release from the state. Williams is charged with TennCare fraud, sale of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone and sale of a schedule III controlled substance. TennCare fraud is a Class E felony and carries a sentence of up to two years in prison, according to the release.
