Local NAACP to host community discussion

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County Chapter of the NAACP will host a community discussion about the future of area children. The mass community discussion will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 28 at the local NAACP chapter’s downtown office at 118 North Church Street. The purpose of the discussion is to bring all parts of the community together to discuss the future and education of our children, according to an NAACP release. “The NAACP’s powerful vision for the future includes organizational goals, with the focus on major areas of inequality facing African Americans,” according to the release. “At the forefront, is a high-quality, public education for all children in Jackson-Madison County.”
