Paris police arrest woman on public intoxication charge

PARIS, Tenn. — Police arrested a woman Friday after responding to a report of an intoxicated woman walking down the street. Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. to a call about a woman with no shoes walking down the street, according to a report from the Paris Police Department. Police say they found Teresa Conley, 48, sitting on some rocks by a creek on Valleywood Drive. Officers say Conley appeared to be intoxicated. They say she gave consent to search her purse where they found a small, empty liquor bottle. Conley was unable to perform simple tasks and had poor balance, according to the report. She was charged with public intoxication and transported to the Henry County Correctional Facility.
