DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson woman appeared in city court Monday on several charges stemming from a weekend domestic disturbance. Police say Crowley was heavily intoxicated and smelled like alcohol. When police confronted Crowley, she is accused of trying to close a door in an officer’s face and then attempting to strike him with her hand, according to the affidavit. She is then accused of running from officers, trying to pull away when apprehended and then kicking once she was handcuffed, documents state. Crowley is charged with aggravated domestic assault, simple assault on an officer, resisting arrest and underage consumption. She is free on a $20,000 bond.
