Fugitive from Virginia sought in Tennessee arrested in Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) – Authorities say a 40-year-old fugitive sex offender who skipped parole in Virginia, was sought in Tennessee and avoided capture in Texas has been arrested in Las Vegas.
Police and U.S. marshals say Michael Sean Green was taken into custody early Monday at a budget motel near downtown Las Vegas.
Records showed Green was being held at the Clark County jail pending a court extradition hearing and transfer in custody to Tennessee or Virginia.
Marshals say Green was sought on warrants in Virginia for allegedly cutting off his parole GPS and failing to meet sex offender requirements.
He was sought with Bobby Keeney of Henry County, Virginia, in the investigation of an attempted abduction June 5 of a woman in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Kenney was arrested Wednesday in Fort Worth, Texas.
