United Way invites public to participate in Day of Action

JACKSON, Tenn. — United Way of West Tennessee is inviting the people and organizations of West Tennessee to join them for their upcoming Day of Action. This year’s Day of Action will take place the week beginning Sunday, and leaders with the organization are encouraging people to get out and volunteer. The purpose of the Day of Action is to raise volunteer awareness in each community, according to a United Way release. Volunteer plans can range from cleaning up playgrounds to delivering meals and can be registered with United Way, according to the release. Projects can be shared online using the hashtag #DayOfAction.
