2 teens injured in Union City shooting; police seek suspects

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Police are seeking suspects in a midnight shooting this weekend that injured two teenagers. Police responded around 12:30 a.m. Sunday to a 911 call about gunshots at a building on Railroad Street, according to a release from the Union City Police Department. Two 15-year-old girls were struck by gunfire and sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the release. Police say the building had been rented for a party and that a fight erupted outside. Someone fired gunshots as the crowd was dispersing, hitting the two girls, the release states. Both teens were treated at a local hospital and released. Police have not identified any suspects at this time.
