Woman accused of attacking roommate’s kids

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson woman appeared Monday in court accused of attacking her roommate’s children. Court papers say Erica Ware hit one of the children on the right side of his face with a closed fist and then hit him with a milk crate. Police say when the children tried to leave the home, Ware picked up a knife and followed them out the door. The children, ages 10 and 11, were able to get away and call their mother. Ware is still in jail in lieu of a $7,500 bond.
