Suspects charged in thefts from Milan nonprofit

MILAN, Tenn. — Police have charged three people they say are responsible for thefts from a local nonprofit. Ramontayne Woodson, Steve Akins and Dawn Smith are charged with stealing from the Mustard Seed, a nonprofit organization that serves the needy in Gibson County, according to police. Tips from WBBJ viewers led police to the suspects, according to the department. Police say the three admitted to the thefts and are going to return property taken from the nonprofit.
