DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man was in court Wednesday on charges of robbing an east Jackson convenience store. Rocky White is accused of being one of the three men responsible for the Monday robbery of Easy Mart grocery store, located at 224 Hale Street, according to an affidavit. Police say two black men pulled guns on the owner and ordered him to open the cash drawer. White is accused of then entering the store and helping the other two men with the robbery, the document states. Officers say they spotted a man fitting the description of one of the robbers entering a Conger Street apartment. They located White inside, and he later confessed to the robbery, according to police. The men took about $250 in cash from the owner’s wallet along with his iPhone, the cash drawer containing about $200 in cash, about 14 packs of cigarettes and a wireless phone, the document states. White is charged with aggravated robbery and a count of criminal trespassing for entering the apartment without permission, according to an affidavit. His bond is set at $50,000.
