Country music artists ‘lend a hand’

JACKSON, Tenn. — Country music lends a hand to the Jackson community. A family friendly concert was held at the outdoor amphitheater Wednesday night at Casey Jones Village. It was inspired by country music singer/songwriters from Nashville who have a passion for helping children with Down syndrome. “It let them know that, ‘hey, you’re special,’ and that is awesome to see,” musician Kimberly Helton said. Children had the opportunity to play on stage with about a dozen local artists.
