Jackson officer injured in wreck is released from hospital

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson police officer injured when his patrol car was rear-ended Monday evening has been released from the hospital. The officer will be off work for the next few days, according to Interim Police Chief Julian Wiser. The accident occurred just before 5 p.m. after the officer had conducted a traffic stop on Pleasant Plains Extended. Police said Monday the policeman was transported by ambulance and complained of shoulder pain. The woman driving the car was not injured, according to police.
