HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — Deputies are seeking a man they say fled on foot after a car chase. Christopher Cutting of Big Sandy is wanted in Benton County on a probation violation charge and has charges pending in Henry County, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say the chase began when they responded to a report of reckless driving on Highway 54. After an eight-mile pursuit, they say Cutting abandoned the car and fled on foot. The sheriff’s department tracked him with two K-9s and chased him into a swampy area, but the dogs became exhausted in the heat. Cutting was last seen on Briarpatch Lake Road in Paris wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes, however his shirt and shoes were recovered in the swamp during the search. He is not believed to be armed or dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 731-642-1672.
