Man accused of stealing, forging father’s checks

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man appeared Monday in Jackson City Court on charges of forging and cashing checks belonging to his father. A man reported July 1 that two of his personal checks had been stolen and forged, one for $75 and the other for $65, according to an affidavit. The man told police he suspected his son, Mason McBride, of forging the checks. An investigator interviewed McBride the following day, at which time he admitted to forging and cashing the checks, according to the affidavit. McBride is charged with two counts of forgery. His bond is set at $10,000.
