HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife personnel are investigating a drowning that occurred July 4 near Cypress Grove. District 12 Boating Officer Joe Campbell said the first victim fell into the water around 1:40 p.m. Saturday. Bystanders pulled 44-year-old Melina Thornhill out of the water and said they performed CPR for an hour. She was later pronounced dead at the Henry County Medical Center. Officials do not believe alcohol was a factor in the drowning.
