Man accused of aggravated arson at old Nashville motel
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – A 29-year-old man has been charged with aggravated arson in a fire at an old Nashville motel that injured two people.
The Nashville Fire Department said Antoine Dewayne Clark was arrested Thursday at another inn.
A pregnant woman and a man were taken to a hospital after the fire Tuesday with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
The fire department said the fire happened after a dispute broke out over personal belongings. The fire happened at the abandoned Harding Inn.
Fire officials said a total of six people were rescued from a balcony.
Clark was being held on $150,000 bond plus $20,000 on a community supervision violation. Online jail records didn’t indicate whether he is represented by a lawyer.
