Man accused of kicking in sister’s door, locking her out of home

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man went before a judge Tuesday on accusations of kicking in his sister’s door and locking her out of her house. Billy McClanahan is charged with aggravated burglary. His sister called police Monday afternoon to her Lynn Street residence where she said he had taken tools and other items from the house, according to an affidavit. When police arrived, McClanahan had locked the woman out of the house, the document states. Police say McClanahan told them he kicked the door in to retrieve property. McClanahan does not live at the home and does not have property there, according to the affidavit. His bond is set at $20,000.
