Safety Fest TN set for September in Oak Ridge

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (AP) – This year’s Safety Fest TN has been set for September, with experts presenting more than 40 free classes, seminars, demonstrations and a safety expo.

The fourth annual event is being held in Oak Ridge, put on by the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Oak Ridge Business Safety Partnership and dozens of other organizations.

Tennessee Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner Burns Phillips says the intent is to make a difference in the workplace.

The event is set for Sept. 14 to 18 with the majority of the classes, seminars and demonstrations being at New Hope Center.
