JACKSON, Tenn. — Regional Inter-Faith Association’s Snack Backpack program got a big boost Thursday as it gears up for the upcoming school year. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints donated $25,000 worth of food to the program, which serves hundreds of elementary students at schools across Jackson-Madison County. The students are considered at risk of going hungry over the weekends, so they’re sent home with packs of easy to prepare food.
