Man charged with false imprisonment after fight with girlfriend

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man facing numerous charges for allegedly trapping a woman inside his home appeared Thursday in Jackson City Court. Court papers say Bret Allen Leek got into an argument with his girlfriend Wednesday night. When she tried to leave, Leek reportedly forced her to stay and used his hands to strangle her. Leek is charged with false imprisonment, aggravated domestic assault and simple domestic assault. He is free on a $5,000 bond.
