Man arrested in Union City accused of having ecstasy, $3K cash in pockets

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Police arrested a man Saturday after finding pills in his pocket that tested positive for ecstasy, according to a report from the Union City Police Department. Carlos Pryor was arrested Saturday after being found walking unsteady on his feet and having slurred speech in the 700 block of Melrose Street, according to the report. A search revealed a pill bottle in Pryor’s pocket containing two green pills that appeared to be home pressed and later tested positive for ecstasy by a field test kit, the report states. Police say they also found about .8 grams of marijuana in the pill bottle. Pryor also had more than $3,000 cash in his pockets, which officers seized as drug proceeds, according to the report. Pryor was charged with possession of schedule II, simple possession/casual exchange and public intoxication, the report states.
