Deputies: Husband attacked wife because dinner wasn’t ready

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A man is jailed on accusations of attacking his wife because dinner wasn’t ready and the house was messy. Deputies say they were called to the home Tuesday in the 4000 block of Bells Highway. The man told officers he pushed a door and it hit his wife in the head, knocking her unconscious. Deputies said she was bleeding and needed nine stitches to her forehead. The man, whom the sheriff’s department has not identified, was taken into custody.
