Man charged with violating order of protection twice

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man went before a judge Wednesday on charges stemming from two incidents involving his ex-girlfriend. Johnathan Kinnie faces multiple charges after police say he violated an order of protection against his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child on two separate occasions, according to court documents. Court papers say the woman has an order of protection against Kinnie through Madison County General Sessions Court. The ex-girlfriend told police Kinnie entered the back door of her home July 8 and began choking her and didn’t leave until her mother told him she was calling the police, according to an affidavit. Kinnie is charged with aggravated domestic assault and violation of order of protection in this incident. Around 1 a.m. Wednesday, Kinnie reportedly went to the home again and kicked in the back door, an affidavit states. Kinnie is charged with aggravated burglary and violation of order of protection in this incident. The judge set his bond at $17,000.
