THP: Car going wrong way hit tractor-trailer in I-40 crash

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a Wednesday night wreck on Interstate 40 occurred when a car was driving the wrong way and collided with a tractor-trailer. Troopers say the crash happened around 9:40 p.m. near mile marker 117 in the westbound lane. Authorities say one victim was transported to a Memphis hospital and that charges are pending.
