JACKSON, Tenn. — In just a few months, a fledgling Goodwill service that picks up gently used furniture and other items from donors’ homes has expanded from a single subdivision into 16 Middle and West Tennessee counties. According to Goodwill leaders, the home pickup program, which began a year ago as a small test service in Nashville, is growing rapidly. The service is now available in five West Tennessee counties. Leaders said the program is helping Goodwill to continue its goal of helping people. “Through the donation cycle, the donations that you give to Goodwill, we are able to fund our mission by providing employment and training opportunities to individuals who have disabilities,” said Tiffany Dodd with Goodwill.
