HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — A website’s recent ordering of cities in the Volunteer State turned out a bit unfavorable for some West Tennessee locales. Roadsnacks.com used data such as population density, unemployment, education and high crime to come up with the “worst places to live in Tennessee.” At number one is Lafollette, near Knoxville. But closer to home, Humboldt came in at number two, and Ripley, Paris, Lawrenceburg and Brownsville also made the top ten. Their pick for Tennessee’s best city was Green Hill, just east of Nashville.
