TROY, Tenn. – Obion County’s football program is going through a complete makeover. The team is running a new offense and defense under a completely new coaching staff. “We still have a long way to go. Every scrimmage we have gotten better,” first year head coach Paul Decker said. “We hope to have a good showing this week at the jamboree.” The Rebels will play Lake County on Friday in Dyersburg’s jamboree. The focus this week has been cutting down the amount of turnovers. “We gotta eliminate our mistakes. It’s a new offense from what they did last year,” Decker said. “We’re putting the ball on the floor too much. We gotta really concentrate on keeping our hands on the ball.” Obion County finished 2-8 last season. Their season opener is on the road against South Side in Week 1.
