Convicted gunman sentenced in fatal 2014 shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man convicted in a deadly 2014 shooting was sentenced Monday. Dontavious Hendrix is sentenced to serve 25 years at 100 percent of the term. He also has been ordered to pay $9,546 in restitution to the victim’s family for funeral expenses. Hendrix was found guilty of second-degree murder July 7 in the shooting death of Justin Williams on July 27, 2014, outside a North Royal Street apartment.
