JACKSON, Tenn. — A man went before a judge Monday after police say a stolen cell phone he sold led to his arrest in an armed robbery at a Jackson apartment. Curtis Johnson Jr. is charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary in the Aug. 8 incident. A man and a 15-year-old juvenile told police they were about to walk inside a residence at Cherry Grove Apartments when an unknown man with a gun walked up and followed them inside. The gunman ordered the man, the teen, a woman and a 4-year-old to get on the ground as he took several items from the residence including cell phones and tablet computers, according to an affidavit. On Thursday, police say they talked to a woman who had one of the stolen phones. She told police she bought it from Johnson around 3 a.m. Aug. 9, according to court documents. The man, woman and teen who were present at the robbery all picked Johnson out of a photo lineup, according to police. Johnson’s bond is set at $50,000.
