MILAN, Tenn. — Residents are preparing for the sixth annual Dawg Daze Street Festival that kicks off Saturday morning. Organizers say the event is a great way to keep the momentum going in the revitalization of the city’s downtown. The mayor says the event helps the city grow. “Generally it helps the Chamber of Commerce to support its members,” Mayor Chris Crider said. “We use that money to try to attract retail and industrial opportunities” The event is free to the public and starts at 10 a.m. Saturday and features nearly 100 vendors, live music and games.
