Trimble appoints new mayor

TRIMBLE, Tenn.-History is made in Trimble following the mayor’s resignation last week. During Wednesday night’s meeting, Donna Switzer was unanimously appointed as Trimble’s new mayor. She is the first woman in the small Dyer County to hold the position. Also with a unanimous vote, John McFarland was chosen to be their next vice mayor. Ben Sturdivant and Davy Faulkner were also appointed as alderman.
