YMCA moves funds to cover bounced paychecks

EAST JACKSON — It has not been a good week for employees of the Jackson Family YMCA. Less than 10 checks issued to summer employees by the local group bounced earlier this week. But by Friday afternoon, funds were moved to cover those checks. Officials at the YMCA didn’t have an exact amount for how much money the checks were for but said this won’t be an issue for the next round of paychecks, which are due Sept. 1.
