JACKSON, Tenn. — Job seekers showed a big response Monday for a much-anticipated career fair in west Jackson. The Tennessee Department of Labor’s Career Coach was hosted at the offices of RIFA along Airways Boulevard. There, resource officials say during the three hours the job fair was held there was a constant line of job seekers waiting to see about finding a place to work. “First of all, we need it, and I think it would be pretty cool to have somebody come down here and do this for us,” Nichole Smith said. Eventually, by the time the workshop closed, some Jackson job seekers had to be turned away. However, a similar program is scheduled to be held Tuesday in Dyersburg.
