Gunshot victim shows up at Jackson ER

JACKSON, Tenn. — A woman showed up at a Jackson emergency room Monday with a gunshot wound to the leg, according to police. The call came in around 12:30 p.m. from staff at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital who told police about the gunshot victim, according to Sgt. Derick Tisdale with the Jackson Police Department. The victim told police the incident happened in the Allenton Heights area but could not give a specific location. Police say the woman is not being cooperative in the investigation. Officers have not released any suspect information at this time.
