Lane College freshmen inducted after Discovery Week

JACKSON, Tenn. — Campuses in West Tennessee are revived after a long summer break. Students are getting ready for the first day of the college semester. Lane College moved their freshmen in a week before classes to help prepare them for their first semester. Program directors said about 400 freshmen participated in the program and were inducted as part of the Dragon family over the weekend. “We partner with other offices on campus to ensure that these students will have a transformative experience from the time they arrive on campus, through the duration of that first year and beyond,” said Kenneth Frierson, first year experience director at Lane. This also begins the second year for President Logan Hampton to lead the college.
