NASHVILLE — State officials met with program teams Wednesday to look into Tuesday’s temporary disruption of 911 calls made on mobile phones. A program team with AT&T said an application issue was to blame for the partial outage, according to a release from the Tennessee Emergency Communications Board. The developers said they received alarms from the application and immediately began the process to identify and correct the issue, according to the release. Officials with the state board have asked AT&T for a detailed root cause analysis in hopes of preventing such an issue in the future, the release states.
