West Tenn. Healthcare to host 2 health fairs
JACKSON, Tenn. — West Tennessee Healthcare is hosting two upcoming neighborhood health fairs. The health fairs will offer a variety of adult screenings, according to a WTHC release. The first fair will take place Saturday, Sept. 12, at LIFT Wellness Center located at 101 Jackson Walk Plaza. The second will take place Oct. 10 at Work Plus Rehab located at 343 Vann Drive. Both events will be held from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. are are free to attend, according to the release. The screenings will include free health risk assessments, blood pressure, bone density, body mass index, vision screening, balance testing, grip testing, flexibility screening, glucose and cholesterol lab work, the release states. A four-hour fast is required for the glucose and cholesterol lab work.
