EAST JACKSON — Police shut down a popular park in east Jackson Wednesday afternoon as part of an investigation of what they say is a possible suicide. Officers are searching a pond and large areas of Muse Park near North Parkway. City and county firefighters were on and in the water searching for a possible suicide victim. Police investigators also were on scene. Sgt. Derick Tisdale, public information officer for the Jackson Police Department, says the search began after a bag was found on a dock with information that led officers to believe there may have been a suicide victim in the area.
