Union City police still seeking 2 men after alleged beating, robbery

UNION CITY, Tenn. — The search continues for two men after a victim tells police they beat and robbed him after he had been gambling with them at a Union City apartment. Police are looking into the aggravated robbery, pistol whipping and beating after the victim showed up Thursday at a local emergency room. The victim told police Vernon Cotton pushed him to the ground and that Marcus Taylor struck him with a pistol. A police report says six or seven men then joined in the attack. The men also allegedly took an undetermined amount of money from the victim’s pockets. Cotton and Taylor both are wanted on warrants for aggravated robbery.
