Weekend march aims to promote crime awareness in east Jackson

EAST JACKSON — A march this weekend aims at keeping violence out of the Hub City. The event will start at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Temple in east Jackson. Organizers say they hope to raise awareness about crime in the area and to pave a better way for future generations in their community. “To let the people know that we are concerned about the youth in the city and the community, that you don’t have to resolve with violence,” said Bishop Rickey Greene of Abundant Life Temple.
