JACKSON, Tenn. — The city of Jackson has its emotions under control — at least according to a new study. A study published in “Social Psychological and Personality Science” ranks the Hub City as the most emotionally stable city in the United States. The study looked at personalities of more than one million residents in 700 cities and analyzed whether certain traits correlated to faster recovery from the recent recession. Jackson residents say they agree with the study. “Jackson is a very productive, aggressive city because of its location and because of the leadership that has been working to get things moving forward,” Donald Lee Tucker, a Jackson resident, said. The study says the entrepreneurial personality and emotional stability of a city’s residents may be just as important in determining whether cities suffer or thrive during a recession.
